U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims

We represent veterans and their family members in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC), often for free.*

Of course, no one really works for free. So, how can we do that?

If your net worth is $2 million or less, the U.S. government will pay the reasonable legal costs, fees, and expenses on your behalf.** That payment will not come out of any future awards of VA disability compensation to you. That makes the representation completely free to you if we win.

If we lose the appeal then we do not charge you anything. We think that this is the right thing to do; we are in this together, working for the same goals: Yours.

Deadlines

If the Board of Veterans’ Appeals denied or dismissed some or all of your claims, you must act quickly so that you don’t lose your right to appeal! You have only 120 days (including weekends and holidays) after the date on the face of that decision for the CAVC to receive your appeal.

Disclaimers

* The CAVC requires the payment of a $50 filing fee to initiate an appeal if paying it would not cause a financial hardship. If we win the appeal, we will request that the Court order VA to reimburse the filing fee to you.

** If your net worth is more than $2 million, the U.S. government will not pay the reasonable legal costs, fees, and expenses. However, we may still be able to assist you on an hourly or flat-rate basis. Please contact us for more information.
